Facecheck 1v1
Ranked Rust arena duels, decided by the better shot.
- AK & random kits
- 1 versus 1
- Elo enabled
Facecheck 1v1 is the flagship ranked mode on PACK's US Main. Two players, one arena, and a best-of-N series that ends only when someone has clearly won. There is no third-partying, no loot RNG, and no long walk back to the fight, just a clean read on who is the better duelist today.
Before the round starts you copy a loadout, step through the portal, and spawn already kitted inside a purpose-built arena. Choose the classic AK loadout to test raw spray control and edge-peeking, or take a random kit and prove you can win with whatever the server hands you.
Every result feeds a persistent Elo rating that starts at 1000 and moves on a K-factor of 32, so a single session of good fights is enough to start climbing, and a bad night is enough to knock you back down. The ladder should mean something.

Pro tips
- Warm up your spray transfer on the AK kit before you queue ranked. The first two rounds decide most series.
- A zoom keybind (bind c "+fov 90;fov 70") makes mid-range peeks far more consistent.
- Play the angle, not the enemy: pre-aim common peek spots so you win the facecheck instead of reacting to it.
Frequently asked questions
What is Rust Facecheck?
Rust Facecheck is a ranked 1v1 arena duel mode where two players fight a best-of-N series with pre-staged loadouts. There is no farming or survival. You copy a kit, step through a portal, and spawn fight-ready inside a custom arena. Every result feeds a persistent Elo rating.
How does the Elo ranking work?
Every player starts at 1000 Elo. Wins and losses are calculated with a K-factor of 32, so beating a higher-rated opponent gains you more, and losing to a lower-rated one costs you more. Ratings persist across sessions.
Can I pick my loadout?
Yes. You can take the classic AK loadout for a pure aim-and-positioning duel, or select a random kit to test your adaptability with whatever weapon you are handed.
Do I need to farm or gear up first?
No. Facecheck is a combat mode with no survival, farming, or looting. You copy a kit and spawn fight-ready inside the arena.
How do I join?
Launch Rust, press F1 to open the console, and paste connect rust.packrat.cc. Walk into the Facecheck portal at the hub to start queuing.
